Variety of capabilities. We do it all... a lot more than just simple re-touching. When it comes to “doctoring” photos, here are some of the more common requests we receive: fix red-eye, remove a person or item, insert a person or item, combine several pictures into one, take a person or item from one photo and add it to another, switch the background, change the color of an item, crop or reposition areas, and alter the overall tone. You may feel that your particular request is unreasonable or undoable, but please ask. As a general rule, if you can imagine it, we can do it.

Digital or print format. It makes no difference whether your photos are in digital format (such as gif or jpg files) or you have them as prints. We are happy to receive them any way you choose to supply them to us. And we can return them to you in either or both formats. If you send us a digital file, we will alter it and return it to you in the same file format. If you mail us a photo print, we will scan it into our computers, work on it, and then print it back to a print and ship it to you by return mail.

Easy online ordering. Sending us an order could not be easier. Simply click Contact Us and fill in the online form. Attach your photo (or photos) if you have them in digital form. If you have prints, then just mail them to us. Tell us what you want done, and we’ll get back to you immediately. It’s that simple.

Convenient payment. As soon as we receive your order, we will send you an e-mail invoice of the cost for what you want done. The invoice will contain a button to click on that will take you to a convenient online-payment site. You can pay with any credit card. Or you can mail a check if you prefer. As soon as we get notification of your payment, we will complete your job and send it back to you right away.

Amazingly inexpensive. In the old, old days, a few decades ago, nothing like this service was available at any cost. There was no way anyone could alter a photograph to the degree that we are talking about here. In the more recent old days, a few years ago, after the dawn of personal computers, it became possible for a select group of professional services to alter some digital photographs. Why not just buy a computer program and do the work yourself? Good question. Here’s the answer...

There are many image-editing software packages out there you can purchase for your personal computer. They cost anywhere from $50.00 to $900.00. And they do a fair job (some better than others) at automating some of these tasks. But they do NOT (and CAN not) produce the quality results of a skilled professional devoted to the task. These software programs act in a “bulk” manner, a one-size-fits-all approach. This is not their fault; they must function this way to serve the public’s wide range of needs. But we do things very differently. When you send us your photo and tell us what you want done, we get in there and attack the problem manually, at the lowest level. We actually go in and manipulate the basic pixels, giving your photo individual attention and care specific to your request. And the results speak for themselves. Compare our work with anything you get from using the automatic functions of any software.

The red-eye problem is a good example of what we are talking about. Many photos, especially those taken with digital cameras, have a severe case of red-eye. And nearly every photo-editing program has some sort of a red-eye removal capability. The problem is, if the red-eye is severe, an automatic software fix does not work. Either it leaves some red coloring in conspicuous places, or it puts blue or black blotches where they don’t belong. Often, there is no way to produce satisfactory results no matter how you adjust their software settings. By contrast, we go in and manually edit the individual pixels throughout the affected areas of the eye. This is a highly customized process that cannot be done automatically because every photographic image is different. This way of doing things is a lot more time-consuming and labor-intensive than simply clicking a button to "Remove Red-Eye," but the results are vastly superior. It can make the difference between a photo that is usable and one that is not.
